getting started

How Booking Works

Booking is personal: you book with a Patient Care Coordinator, and your clinician understands your case before you meet. See the Integrative Method for how the full model works.

1

Request a consultation

Start with the consultation form on our site.

2

Talk with a Patient Care Coordinator

A Patient Care Coordinator reaches out by phone, email, or text to talk through services, fit, and how out-of-network billing works before you commit.

3

Set up your patient portal

When you're ready, you'll set up a patient portal account. Your intake includes the Sigmund Assessment, a structured evaluation across seven clinical domains that your clinician reviews before you meet. Learn how the Sigmund Assessment works.

Insurance and Billing

Out-of-network practice

We're an out-of-network practice. You pay at the time of service and receive a monthly superbill to submit to your insurer for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Many PPO plans reimburse a portion.

A monthly superbill

A superbill is an itemized monthly receipt with the billing codes and charges your insurer needs to process the claim. You submit it to your insurer, who reviews it against your out-of-network benefits and reimburses you directly. We generate and send your superbill once a month.

Debit and credit cards

We accept debit and credit cards. Payment is due at the time of service.

Prescriptions and Records

Prescribing. Our clinicians are board-certified psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners, and the clinician who handles your therapy handles your medication too. One coordinated plan, no handoffs between separate providers.

Refills. Request refills by contacting the office or your clinician during business hours. Ask at least five business days before you run out, since pharmacy transmissions can take a couple of days once approved.

Copies of your records. Submit a records request through your portal or email our patient care team. We process requests within the timelines required by law. A fee may apply for paper copies.

Coordinating with your other doctors. With your signed release, your clinician can share relevant updates, coordinate medication plans, and communicate with other providers on your care team. You can also meet our clinicians.

Frequently asked questions

What do I need for a virtual session?

A private space, a stable internet connection, and a device with a camera and microphone. We use a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform, and your session link arrives through your patient portal beforehand. A phone backup keeps the session going if your connection drops.

Contact our office if you have questions for your clinician. The office staff will be able to give you direct contact information for your clinician. The patient portal is where you will find your superbill and invoices. You are able to upload information for your clinician and update your payment information.

Yes, and you have a say in it. Matching starts as a conversation with your Patient Care Coordinator, and fit sometimes becomes clearer after a few sessions. If something feels off, tell your coordinator or clinician and we'll find a better match. Your new clinician receives the Sigmund Assessment and your full notes, so your care picks up where you left off.

Controlled medications, including ADHD stimulants and certain anxiety medications, require an active clinician relationship with regular follow-up. State and federal rules govern how they're issued and refilled, and your clinician will explain the policy for your medication at your first visit.

In most cases, yes, when clinically appropriate. Upload your current prescriptions and prescribing clinician to your portal, and your clinician reviews them.

Yes. Upload prior psychiatric evaluations, therapy notes, medication histories, lab results, and genetic or pharmacogenomic testing through your portal, and your clinician will review the relevant history as part of the Sigmund Assessment.

Whatever you're comfortable in, plus any medication bottles or recent lab work you'd like to discuss. Most patients keep these uploaded to the portal, so there's nothing to carry.

Still Have a Question?

If your answer isn't here, book a consultation and a Patient Care Coordinator will help. For non-urgent questions, use your patient portal or reach our patient care team by phone or email during business hours, and we'll coordinate with your clinician.
